Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Capistrano United collects when a parent or guardian registers a child for our tryouts on capistranounited.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Parent or guardian: full name, email address and phone number.
• Child: first and last name, date of birth, and whether the child is a boy or a girl.
• Registration: the tryout date you chose and the age group we calculate from the date of birth.
• Technical: the IP address and browser information sent with the form, used only to prevent spam and abuse.

We do not ask for addresses, health information, photos, payment details or government identification numbers.

How we use it

To organise the tryouts: place your child in the right age group and session, send you a confirmation, and contact you about the tryouts and about team placement afterwards. We do not sell or share your information for advertising.

Children’s information

Registrations must be made by a parent or legal guardian. We collect a child’s information only from the parent or guardian. You can ask us at any time to review, correct or delete your child’s information.

Who processes it

The website, its database and our email run on servers provided by Hostinger. Registration data is stored in our own database, with encrypted backups. Access is limited to the club staff who organise the tryouts and the developer who maintains the site.

How long we keep it

We keep registration data while it is needed for the tryouts and the season that follows, then delete it — or sooner if you ask.

California privacy rights

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask for a copy, to correct it, and to have it deleted, without being treated differently for asking.
